Hi, I'm Ian Meechan, Student 515528.

I've enrolled in The Open College of Arts BA degree in Fine Art Photography. 
 
A prerequisite of my 'Digital Image and Culture' course is to provide a learning log for my studies including, assignments, coursework, research and imagery.

 

In addition to my research and reflection will be highlights from various artistic exhibitions, photographers and other art forms that interest me but are supplementary to the course suggestions. These will compliment the required study for the course.

Originally from Scotland, I've been very fortunate to travel a lot. Working in the UK, China and Australia, I've experienced many diverse cultures and feel this will aid my studies now and in the future.

Travel definitely teaches us about the world we live in and opens up the mind.

 

I currently work at Wangkatjungka Remote Community School in Western Australia which makes me one of the 7% of OCA students outside of Europe.
