Hi, I'm Ian Meechan, Student 515528.

Enrolled for a BA in Fine Art Photography at The Open College of Arts. 

A prerequisite for my 'Practice and Research' course is to provide a learning log for my studies, including assignments, coursework, research, and imagery.

 

In addition to my research and reflection, my blog will be included. It will highlight my thoughts on various exhibitions, photographers, books, and other art forms that interest me but are supplementary to the course suggestions and will complement the required study for the course.

Originally from Scotland, I've been fortunate to travel a lot. Working in the UK, China and Australia, I've experienced many diverse cultures and feel this will aid my studies now and in the future.

Travel definitely teaches us about the world we live in and opens our minds.

 

I currently work at Manjimup Primary School in Western Australia, at the time of writing, making me one of the 7% of OCA students outside Europe.
