Exercise 3.3 - Breaking the News?

I've commented quite considerably in my exercise section of my learning log when I belive the implications and where to draw the line what to publish regarding the loss of someones life.

It's difficult to predict whats acceptable and what is not as you will never be able to fully appease everyone. Another good example of this I believe was the events of 911. The news coverage was extensive but it was only until later that the true extent of the lives lost was shown.

The world today is even more focussed on selling the story and this should also be considered. It seems nowadays that our attention span a far less than it was before and the term yesterday's news seems outdated to last hours news or minute which is probably closer to the mark. The more devastating the new image is the more paper they sell but it seems it will continue to become increasingly severe as time goes on.
