Hi, I'm Ian Meechan, Student 515528.

I've enrolled in The Open College of Arts BA degree with Honours in Fine Art Photography. 
 

A prerequisite of my 'Practice and Research' unit is to provide a learning log for my studies, covering practice, research, projects, and assignments.

 

In addition, there will be blog highlights on creators, books, films, exhibitions, and other art forms that interest me. Although supplementary to the course suggestions, I feel that they complement the required course study.

I'm originally from Scotland but have been very fortunate to work in the UK, China and Australia, I've experienced many diverse cultures and feel this will aid my studies now and in the future.

Travel definitely teaches us about the world we live in and opens up the mind.

I currently work at Manjimup Primary School in Western Australia which at the time of writing makes me one of the 7% of OCA students outside of Europe
