The Argument 2023 - Image Credit: Mishka Henner
Reflection:
I've been a long time admirer of Mishka Henner's work sine I was introduced to it when studying artists during completion of 'Expressing your Vision'. Henner, seems to be able to tap into the psyche of the moment with every new piece he creates.
I believe in his case that the appropriation of others work is justified as he utilises and transforms it into something completely different. There are ties to whatever, original piece of artwork or Google image and manipulated. His work, always thought-provoking, usually concentrating on a political or environment aspect of the world around us. Something usually in front of us but underneath the harsh reality lies and only Henner has a way of bringing this to the surface.
